To accomplish this:

• Bill Barrett Corp is requesting BLM's approval for year-round development of a 60-yr-old gas field
• 800 wells drilled over 8 years disturbing less than 2% of the project area before final reclamation
• Production of approximately 1 trillion standard cubic feet of natural gas
  

Key benefits:

• Providing a clean, domestic, reliable source of energy for the 80 percent of Utah families that rely upon natural gas to heat their homes
• Oil and gas accounted for half of School Trust Lands' revenue in 2006, directly benefiting Utah's school children
• Contributing to the stability of Utah’s low overall energy costs – among the lowest in the nation

But in order to maintain Utah’s energy leadership, we must pursue our known energy reserves while working to mitigate the environmental concerns that come with energy production.
